Grace Bubeck
There are so many stories we can tell about ourselves!
Here is a short story:
I am a psychologist (MSc), philosopher (PhD), and certified massage therapist by work history and professional training. In 1999, I left a first career in academia at the London School of Economics to become a body-mind therapist in private practice and a personal development and meditation teacher. I offer in person therapy, counseling, and workshops, as well as online non-dual spiritual events and group programs. I’ve written a book on ‘Deepening into Love: the wounded healer’s journey’ (forthcoming).

And here is a longer version:
Born and raised in Germany, I developed a taste for other countries and cultures in my teens. I did a year of voluntary work in France before returning to Germany to study psychology (MSc). I then moved to Oxford to do first a Masters and then a PhD in philosophy. I taught political philosophy for ten years at the London School of Economics, interspersed by a beautiful year on a research fellowship at the European University in Florence, Italy. I published many articles as well as a book, Care, Gender, and Justice (under my German name, Diemut Bubeck).
My healing journey brought me to the point of needing to stop just being in my head, so I trained as a massage therapist. When my personal life led me to Montreal, Canada, I decided to leave academia and start a private practice. Therapeutic massage very soon turned into a form of energy work which I called 'intuitive bodywork', and evolved further to re-integrate my psychological background. I now call myself a 'body-mind' therapist, and I love working with people by listening to their bodies, energy, and soul, and responding to whatever it is that is most needed in the moment -- be it counseling, energy work (mostly acupressure), healing, or a combination of these modalities.
My spiritual journey led me into many traditions, Christian, buddhist, yogic, and nondual teachings. When I met my teacher Gangaji, she took the wind out of the sails of my intense spiritual searching and the drama of 'me and my life'. I realized that there is nothing to get. Love, Being, Life, are already here. This realization has been deepening and settling into my life in many ways. Having taught and led meditation for a long time, I now also offer non-dual spiritual mentoring, psycho-spiritual counseling, and meditation and online groups in which the invitation to realize the truth of our being is always present.
